[HM:248278] Desiderata

Desiderata
by Jose Saramago

Let us go placidly amid the noise and haste, ever reminding us that there is peace in the silence.
As far as possible, without humble ourselves, live in harmony with all around us.
Let us speak our truth quietly and clearly and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant, they too have their own history.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons scandalous: they are vexations to the spirit.
If we compare ourselves to others, we become vain or bitter, for
there will always be greater and lesser persons than us.
We are children of the universe, brothers of the stars and trees:
Deserve to be here. And without even realizing it, the earth and the universe will fulfill his destiny.
Let us live intensely our achievements and also our dreams. Keep yourself interested in our work, however humble, he is the real over there all the time. Let us be cautious in business, because the world is full of trickery, but we do not become skeptical, because the virtue there is. Many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere, life is full of heroism.
Mainly, we ourselves, do not feign affection, nor be cynical about love, because even in the face of all aridity and disenchantment.
It is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of older and we are appreciative of the innovative impulses of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune in, but not in desesperemo with imaginary danger, for many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. And, despite a strict discipline, be gentle to ourselves. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive him and whatever our labors and aspirations
In the noisy confusion of life, keep yourself at peace with our own soul, above the falsehoods, the disappointments and sorrows, the world is still beautiful!
Let us be cautious, do everything to be happy!
