[HM:250953] Strong Feelings means strong character?

Strong feelings do not necessarily make a strong character.  The strength of a man is to be measured by the power of the feelings he subdues not by the power of those which subdue him

--

sub·due verb (used with object), -dued, -du·ing.

1. to conquer and bring into subjection: Rome subdued Gaul.
2. to overpower by superior force; overcome.
3. to bring under mental or emotional control, as by persuasion or intimidation; render submissive.
