Disease Detecting Robot Out Soon
| Scientists at the UK University and the National Science Foundation in the US are working on robot that can detect diseases. Okay, so it's not the type that will be your personal slave, but it's cooler, in my opinion. |
The robot can literally swim around your body and detect the reasons of your current illness. If you're not creeped out by a robot crawling all over you, it's actually phenomenal.
Researchers are looking at the sea lamprey as an organism basis for this project because of its simple and easy-to-duplicate nervous system. Scientists hope to develop a location aware device that can track down your problem areas.
As of now, doctors are using different technology like digital imaging but this can only go so far. The robot, if developed can be able to detect blood clots and chemical signatures of viruses and diseases.
It is also a breakthrough because it provides inside footage on how the body works. I hope this comes out real soon! Now those inside-the-body movies will have more cred!
