Baked Apple Chips Baked Apple Chips 1 cup each water and sugar (or Splenda) 2 large apples, not peeled Heat oven to 225 degrees. Set an wire cooling rack on a sheet of Foil or parchment paper. Coat rack with nonstick spray. Put water And sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Boil 5 min. Or until it is a light syrup consistency.(2.) Core and quarter Apples. Cut each quarter into 12 thin slices. Put in a metal bowl and Add boiling hot syrup. Toss apples until coated. Remove slices separately And place close together, not overlapping, on rack. Replace foil, bring up Sides and crimp to edge of rack.(3.) Bake 2 1/2 hours. Loosen chips, let Cool on rack, then serve. Store in an airtight container. Makes 3 Cups Of Chips... |
