Facilitators from around the world will offer workshops and classes in Play of Painting, Horse riding, Life Coaching, Theatre Games, Cooking Middle Eastern Cuisine, Star Gaz- ing, Awareness Through the Body, Creating with Papermache, West Coast Swing and Tango to name a few. Some of the activities will be exclusively for kids only, while some others will be for all.
Set in a green-forested area close to the sea, Auroville provides a perfect ambience with its rustic setting, and a creative international community. Participants can stay in simple guest houses or luxurious cottages, and cycle to different locations over the weekend, accompanied by our program coordinators.
Play of Painting
This collective activity is based on non judg- ment, on self discovery and on free expression through painting (Arno Stern concept). It respects the rhythms and specifities of each one, unique amongst others, beyond all competition. The Art of painting aims at the production of a piece of art. The Play of Painting gives birth to the for- mulation: a code which is original, coherent and universal.
Facilitators: Sandrine lives in Auroville since 2000. Born in France, Sandrine trained in French Literature and communica- tion, and was always involved in the field of education. She taught French (Lycée français and AV schools) and drama for many years, and offered "Free expression workshops" to handi- capped children. 7 years ago, she discovered a new concept of creative education. She went to Paris to receive a complete training by the leader and creator of this concept, The Play of Painting.
Playful Acting
Games are incredibly useful in a theatre class- room; and not just acting or warm-up games – all kinds of games can be played to increase performance or creative skills. Most theatre games, and the recreational games have no winners or losers. The participants work indi- vidually or with others to accomplish the goal of the game, and if the goal is not accomplished at the first try, the participants have still learned something from the experience.
Facilitator: Jesse, an aurovilian, has been engaging children and adults alike with his innovative and fun game over the
past few years.
Questions of Life
A special dynamic counselling technique con- ceived for every person interested in Self-devel- opment and realization of goals on personal, fam- ily, professional and social level. It will stimulate your everyday life in reviving your dreams and projects. Three approaches are used along with various tools: traditional (intellectual, logic), phil- osophical (intuition, creativity) and awareness. Re- define your goals and projects, clarify your inner aims and rediscover the qualities, capacities and beauties hidden within yourself.
Facilitator: Vani is a Reiki Master and has received complete training in reflexology, which she practices regularly for more than 10 years. She is also a trained therapist in Foot and cranial Reflexology, Pranic Healing, Imagination and Body Memories. Vani lives in Auroville since 1980.
Explore the Night Sky
Explore the night sky together, and rediscover the joy of staring at the heavens. Learn to spot the constellations of Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo and Virgo provided the skies are clear. And if you are lucky you may even catch a glimpse of Saturn through a telescope
Facilitator: Vikram studied economics in Australia and has been living in Auroville for many years. He is a vedic astrologer and a passionate star watcher. He is currently writing a book on vedic math.
Cooking Middle Eastern Cuisine
Middle Eastern cuisine is made up of largely healthy natural and often meat-free ingredients. It is a good choice for people observing a special diet, including vegan, vegetarian and low-fat. This cooking session will introduce you to some popu- lar and traditional dishes of the Middle Eastern cuisine :baba ghanoush, hummus, bean stew and Lebanese rice.
Facilitator: Orly, an artist from Israel combines her artistic skills in papier-mache medium with social empowerment work. In Auroville, she founded the WELL Paper Crafts Design Studio and a charming restaurant that serves
traditional middle eastern cuisine..
Creating with paper mache
This workshop is just the thing for those that like to create in a playful way and share a good time among like-minded people. Participants may choose whether to sculpt with paper Mache, cre- ate recycled art using recyclable materials, and more. Only recycled material will be used during the workshop.

Swinging and Shuffling
Meant or the kids, this is a dance originating from California; it allows improvisation and can be danced with various music such as R&B and Blues. It is a dynamic and interactive dance form and challenging on many levels.
Awareness Through the Body
Awareness Through the Body (ATB) provides ways for individuals to discover and explore the body, and through the body awaken the consciousness of the entire being and all the parts that form it. By gradually learning to master attention and the ability to relax, the individual comes into a state of receptivity in which he can better "listen" to the many and varied inputs he is continuously receiv- ing from both his inner and outer world.
Facilitator: Amir, came to India in 2000 from Israel, leaving behind a background in business, and looking towards experi- menting with different disciplines to stimulate the experience of awakening the individual spirit. Today, he facilitates ATB activities, with the intention of enrichening individuals' state of observation, as a tool to unfold & deepen awareness of their beings.
Graceful Steps
Learn an exciting Latin dance that originated in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Argentina. No dance connects two people more closely and intimately than Argentine Tango. It is the most seductive couple dance that is passionate, mel- ancholic and joyful. Something that yearns to be experienced... not taught.
Facilitator: Hailing from South America, Jorge takes to Tango as a fish to water. Learn the fine art of dance, under his jovial and lighthearted self. Jorge loves to share Tango with the absolute beginner as well as the advanced student.
